DGI: End of Year Celebration
On May 11, 2016, we first announced the formation of the Dramatists Guild Institute.
It is hard to believe that this time last year, we were still finalizing details for our inaugural semester, building our website, and discovering just what exactly the DGI was going to look like. Gary Garrison, the director of the DGI, felt it was crucial that we address the growing desire among our membership for a place where professional development was the primary focus. As the Dramatists Guild is the foremost organization of its kind in the nation, the formation of the DGI also meant that students would be able to receive feedback and work intimately with some of the leading names in writing for the stage.
From the Fall into the Spring, we nearly doubled our course selection, with the addition of two new online courses for members across the nation. We are now looking forward to Fall 2017, which is sure to be our most exciting semester yet.
As a way of thanking you for being an essential part of our first year, we are inviting you to an exclusive 2016/17 end of year celebration in New York City. The location and details will be announced soon, but please be sure to save this date and time to celebrate with your peers and to make new connections with others who have been a part of this evolving community of writers.
Our Inaugural 2016/17 DGI End of Year Celebration will take place on: Monday, May 15 at 6pm.
Past and current students: keep an eye out for email updates for this event.
